Assisted Stretching is a form of stretching where a stretch therapist helps you to achieve deeper stretches than you would be able to yourself by using various techniques to stretch and relax the muscles. In a session you will be laying down or sometimes seated on a massage table or mat and I will guide you through a programme of stretches that will hopefully benefit you. To learn more, click the ‘Stretch Therapy’ tab on the menu above.

Depending on your injury, I can most likely work around it and still give you a great stretch. After you book, you’ll be emailed a consultation form to complete where you can leave further details about your injury. Once I know more I can give you some advice on whether the stretch will be right for you.

Although it is still completely safe to stretch during pregnancy, deep stretching is not always recommended. The relaxin hormone released during pregnancy relaxes your muscles, joints and ligaments. Because of this, I recommend Pilates over Stretch Therapy through pregnancy. We can incorporate stretching within the Pilates sessions so you can feel supported through this time, as well as relaxed. Unfortunately I do not offer percussive therapy to my pregnant clients.

Everyone starts their journey at different stages, so don’t worry about where you’re at with your flexibility. Pilates will help you to improve your mobility as you move through the exercises, and you will start to notice improvements hopefully very soon after starting.

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you have to late cancel your stretch therapy appointment a £20 late fee will be deducted from your refund. Unfortunately I cannot be flexible around this policy. I pay for the room hire personally, so therefore I only deduct cost of the room hire for this reason.
Pilates sessions also have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations after this period will unfortunately not be entitled to a refund.

After you book a stretch, your location will be confirmed 24-48 hours before your session via email. Please ensure you have the correct address before you arrive as all of my studio spaces are on the same road.

Anything you’re comfortable in! As long as you can move freely and can stretch in the clothes you’re fine. Activewear is best.

Pre-stretch please make sure you’re hydrated. Also, if you want to exercise you’re best to do this BEFORE a stretch and not after. Deep stretching encourages relaxation of the muscles, so performance can be impacted within 24 hours of your stretch.

After your stretch, try to avoid higher intensity workouts and stick to low impact e.g. Pilates, Yoga, Walking. Keep hydrated and bear in mind you may be slightly more tender for the next 48 hours if you aren’t used to stretching in this way.
